We are hiring a Policy/Communications Intern!

T&P Consulting is a consulting firm built on a pan-European network of e.g. policy experts, former politicians and public officials, ex-CEOs, lawyers and senior consultants, aiming at providing tailored 360° services to its clients.

Our headquarters in Brussels is currently looking for a Policy & Communications Intern.

We host a dynamic working environment, where Public Affairs, public funding, legal services, association management and communications tasks are paired with background research and report drafting for clients’ dossiers, and where there is always room for new business ideas and projects.

Currently, T&P is working on several projects including e-mobility-related policy, a cryptocurrency think tank, a global public funding network, and an audio-visual media productions company, just to name a few.

Role

In the role of Policy/Communications Intern, you will directly assist T&P’s Managing Director & the Senior Strategic Advisor with their daily activities, supporting their work with clients, preparing background briefings, and managing internal admin tasks. You will also have the opportunity to contribute and draft analysis and commentaries on latest policy and legislative developments in selected areas of interest in EU and global affairs, as well as support the organisation of events and other networking initiatives. Overall, the intern will have an opportunity to contribute to the creation and development of the projects mentioned above – e.g cryptocurrency think tank.

Profile & skills

This position is perfectly suited for post-graduate students as well as for young professionals who are looking for a first or second experience in the consulting sector.

Ideally the candidate will cover most of these skills and interests:

  • A University degree in EU affairs, law, economics, public affairs or communications

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge in communication materials design and layout
  • Research and writing skills and very good knowledge of social media
  • Able to work independently and to prioritise on a flexible agenda
  • Good command of MS Office
  • Language skills: Fluent English (mandatory, both written and oral). Good knowledge of French, German, Dutch, and other languages is an advantage

Offer

T&P is offering 6 months paid internship with a CIP (Convention d’Immersion Professionelle) contract with a possibility of extension and potential full employment thereafter. The starting date would be mid-/end-January 2022.

Ideally the candidate will be based in Brussels but the current circumstances in light of the pandemic will be fully adapted to. Depending on Belgian law, the intern would be located at the headquarters in the Sablon area with occasional presence at the satellite offices close to the European Parliament required.
